Internship and thesis project

Plenty of interns spend months on an assignment nobody misses if it never gets finished. We have no appetite for that, and neither do you.

At TMC we build fully automatic machines and robot lines, every time from a blank sheet, 100% in house in Ieper. Which means there is always a real problem on the table that nobody has solved yet. That is the one you get to sink your teeth into.

Where can you do your internship?

• Mechanical design: 3D CAD in Inventor. You draw parts or a sub-mechanism that then actually gets machined and built.
• Controls and PLC: CODESYS, servo drives, robots and cobots.
• Software: Python, C or C++ around machine control, vision or data.
• Machining and production: CNC programming and work preparation in our own machining department.

Still looking for a thesis subject? Come by with your question, or come without a subject and we will find one together. We have more of them lying around than we can handle ourselves.

What can you expect?

• A supervisor who genuinely makes time for you, not just a name on a form.
• You work on the floor with the team, not in a separate cubicle.
• You see your work end up in a machine. Here that takes weeks, not years.
• If your machine is commissioned while you are still around, you are there for it.

Who is it for?

• Students in higher or secondary education, in a technical or engineering programme.
• International students are welcome too.
• Your school provides the internship agreement, we take care of the rest.
